News: RIVEN released „Cretaceous“

Riven is one-man funeral doom project founded by Tom Mesens in 2017 in Antwerp (Belgium). His music is a slow church organ infused funeral doom metal. The music itself has a heavy resemblance of bands like Skepticism, Ahab and Pantheist. Riven does not perform live and has always been a solo project, however it is not
excluded that there will never be a full band around the Riven project.
New EP titled “Cretaceous” was released in digital format by Sepulchral Silence on the 8th of May 2022.
Riven was always about history, with the first records being about the middle-ages. Tom always had a love for dinosaurs and had the feeling the middle-aged subject was told. So the next record would be about the extinction of the dinosaurs.
